 Welcome to East Derry School of Music's home on the web. Established in 1993, we have been offering excellence in music education for over twelve years.
We are conveniently located in East Derry, New Hampshire across from Calvary Christian Church, two miles from the Derry traffic circle.
We use cutting-edge learning materials designed to develop music appreciation and stimulate creativity. We offer music instruction, rentals and sales of musical instruments, print music, and music accessories. In addition, we have a wide variety of other services including preschool music, sound recordings, piano tunings, and computer music.

 Our primary focus is music education. We strive to make lessons fun while providing excellence in learning. We offer instruction on all instruments and voice. Rental instruments are available for students who do not have their own.
Let's Play Music String Program (Ages 3 1/2 Through Adult):
Let's Play Music String Program is a fun way to learn music. Younger children participate in a group experience that introduces them to the violin. They quickly learn to express themselves through playing music and creating their own music. Young ones are also introduced to a variety of musical styles while developing their listening skills. As students develop musically, the program accommodates their new abilities to perform solo or as a part of an ensemble. Older students continue to enjoy the experience of playing in a fun and supportive environment!
Our Teachers
We have teachers for all instruments and voice. Our staff members hold degrees in music from music programs around the world. Each teacher contributes a wealth of knowledge and experience to the lessons making each lesson fun and inspiring.
 Director: Jay Latulippe
Jay Latulippe comes from a multi-generational family of musicians. He began studying music at the age of five, and went on to win many regional and national championships before securing a full scholarship for music performance at the University of Missouri at Kansas City. Jay has performed professionally as a soloist and in a group for over twenty years. |
Jay is the author and arranger of over a dozen music books published by Santorella Publications. He is an adjunct professor at the college level in addition to owning and operating East Derry School of Music with his wife Jeanne.
Rates
Private Lessons on all instruments and voice:
Four 1/2 hour lessons per month: $72.00
Four 1 hour lessons per month: $130.00
Four 1 1/2 hour lessons per month: $190.00
Four 2 hour lessons per month: $245.00
As stated on our policy page, 24 hours' notice is required to reschedule a private lesson.
Piano tuning in the greater Derry area: $75.00
Let's Play Music String Program:
This very child-friendly group violin class is for ages 3 1/2 and up. The group meets weekly over the span of 10 weeks for 99.00. Violin rentals are available for $29.00
