 Prof. PETAR JOVANOVIC,was born in Sarajevo where he attended High School and then joined Sarajevo University of Law where he made the first steps in his musical education. Belgrade University for Arts awarded him the Graduate Degree ( Bachelor's Degree ) in 1966. Being one of the top students he performed in the Concert "Students at the Public Jugement" with the Orchestra playing Lalo Concerto in Re. A critic wrote " he has a warm
temperament and sonorous full, soft and well-rounded tone"- Borba / Belgrade.
Having finished initial studies he started receiving advance tution in Siena - Italy in the "A"class of maestro Andre Navara and then postgraduate studies in Ljubljana. Over forty years of performance as Soloist, Principal or Solo-Cellist in Operetta, Opera, Symphony and Chamber Orchestra under many recognized Conductors including Maestro Zubin Mehta, Antonio Janigro, Neemi Jarva, V.Dudarova...he performed in Europa and U.S.A.
Prof. Petar Jovanovic is also great Chamber musician and at the same time a great music teacher ( Cello, Violin, Bass, Guitar ), with students from three years old to adults.
